    Review:
"There are two versions of this program about sexually transmitted infections on the same tape. One shows sores on the genitals, the other does not. The program uses voice-over throughout, with live-action scenes illustrating the issues. The first part focuses on the reasons some teens become sexually active, including peer pressure, raging hormones, and misconceptions. Then the focus turns to the emotional consequences: regret, resentment, and living with a bad reputation. A nurse describes the symptoms and effects of numerous sexually transmitted infections illustrated by pictures of the bacteria or virus and the sores. The basic information is also written on the screen. Treatments and cures, where available, are detailed. All infections need to be treated promptly to prevent devastating damage including infertility (chlamydia) and brain damage (syphilis). A final brief section mentions birth control techniques and stresses the need for condoms to help prevent the spread of these infections. This straightforward, detailed program will be useful in health classes where blunt talk and clinical photos can be presented."
